Rest by Kayyo

Sleep isn't broken.
The plan is.

Rest is a CBT-I-inspired sleep coach — warm, science-backed, and awake with you. It finds why your nights fall apart, then builds tonight's plan to fix it. No wearable required.

The Method

Most trackers describe
your bad night.

Rest does the harder part: it works out what caused it, and what to change before you get into bed again.

Tonight's Plan

Built around tomorrow, not yesterday

Tell Rest if tomorrow is a work day, a day off or an early start and it sets tonight's bedtime and wake time to protect your rhythm — 10:30 PM in bed, 6:45 AM up, and a reason for both.

Wind-Down

Four small steps, ten quiet minutes

Screen cutoff, 4-7-8 breathing, thought parking, and getting into bed only when sleepy. Each step says what it does — reduces stimulation, downshifts your nervous system, keeps bed linked to sleep.

Phone-Only Tracking

Face down near your pillow

Motion and sound events run overnight to estimate duration, restlessness and consistency. Estimates, honestly labelled — never fake REM or deep-sleep precision.

Sleep Coach

A coach that explains itself

Ask it anything. It reads your last nights — a 7h 38m average, a 3am wake pattern trailing your late espresso days — and answers in plain language with one change to try tonight.

Caffeine & Light

The daytime half of sleep

Log coffee, espresso, matcha or an energy drink and Rest models the ~5.5h half-life against your bedtime. Morning light and caffeine cutoff sit right in your day's checklist.

Progress

Weeks of rhythm, not one bad night

Sleep score trend, duration bars, night streaks and milestones over a week, a month or a year — plus a dream journal for the nights worth keeping.

How It Works

From restless to rested.

  1. 01

    Say what tomorrow looks like

Work day, day off, or early start. Rest sets tonight's bedtime and wake window around it and tells you why your wake time stays protected.

  2. 02

    Run your wind-down

A short guided sequence starting around 10:00 PM — screens down, breathing, thoughts parked — so you get into bed sleepy instead of wired.

  3. 03

    Sleep with your phone nearby

Face down by the pillow, charging. Motion and sound events tick along in the background until your wake window. Nothing to strap on.

  4. 04

    Debrief in the morning

An honest read of the night, your sleep score, and the one adjustment worth making. Log caffeine and light through the day; the plan updates itself.

What We Won't Say

Care, without overclaiming.

Rest offers behavioral sleep support and CBT-I-inspired coaching. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Phone-based tracking estimates duration, restlessness, consistency and sound events — it cannot precisely measure REM or deep sleep, so we don't pretend it can. If Rest hears loud snoring, gasping or choking, or you report severe daytime sleepiness, it will encourage you to speak with a healthcare professional.

From the Nightstand

People sleeping better.

I've used four sleep trackers. Rest is the first one that told me what to do at 2am instead of just showing me a graph the next morning.

Amara D.

Nurse, 8 weeks with Rest

Marking tomorrow as an early start and having the whole plan shift around it — bedtime, wind-down, wake window — is the bit I didn't know I needed.

Tom R.

Teacher, 3 months with Rest

Logging caffeine felt fussy for a week. Then the coach showed me my 3am wake-ups were trailing my late espresso days and I moved my last coffee to 1pm.

Product designer, 5 months with Rest

FAQ

Honest answers.

Rest uses your phone's motion and microphone signals overnight to estimate sleep duration, restlessness, consistency, and sound events like snoring or coughing. Phone-based tracking is an estimate — it will not give you clinically precise REM or deep sleep numbers, and we never pretend otherwise.

Tonight can go
differently.
